Firework Photography

I gave firework photography a go at the weekend, only got a handful that I am happy enough with to put on show - fireworks were from a garden display so not particularly massive fireworks - going to go to a bigger display next year and try again.

Nice try Spoff, ideally you need a tripod mounted camera and use the bulb setting on your camera. This forces the shutter to stay open for a period of time 1/2-1 second or longer, this then captures the fireworks in mid explosion. Similar to when you see those photo's of misted up waterfalls.

yep, couldn't find the tri-pod so had to make do.

I've asked Santa to bring me a new one so I can try again next year!
