Having been considering it for the best part of 18 month I finally bought new irons yesterday and now feel a tad disappointed. Everything in my back is now new and shiny and I don't need anything else for a long, long time.

I've enjoyed looking and considering what to get!!!

Anyway, tried the clubs out at the range yesterday and I reckon I have increased length by 10-15 yards and most importantly the 4 and 5 iron were going well, clubs I couldn't hit for toffee in my last set.

As a 28 handicapper there will be bad shots, but the forgiving nature of these will hopefully lessen the damage on the course when it happens!

I presume your profile has been updated to show the new clubs. I liked the tour burners and only swapped them as I wanted something to help me get to single figures and I didn't think they were the ones. I think had I not been offered the TP's for such a silly price I'd still be using the R9's. The point it the tour burner are a very good club and will help you no end. They are forgiving and are long. The shorter irons are pretty good too although I did find the wedge and SW a bit chunky

Yep, sig is updated.

I'm hoping these are the ones to get me under 100, although until I sort a putting lesson that may not happen.

Agreed with the wedges being chunky, got a 56deg vokey that will stay in the bad and the SW not - although as they're new I'm going with the new one for a while.

Hoping to get out after work tomorrow for nine holes somewhere.

Your new clubs should be ideal for getting you down under 100 and hopefully well beyond that. I know what you mean about the feeling after you buy something you have been deciding about for a while.

Best to enjoy what you have and get used to the new set. That will help you to get the best out of them.

Buyer's remorse is a genuine thing that affects many people when they make a serious / large / costly purchase.

You've been looking at the options for months now and you know it's virtually impossible to make a perfect choice. There are just too many clubs out there for you to test every single one of them.

What you've done is make the best choice possible for you.

I've been in sales for more years than most people have been alive, and I always make it part of my job to discuss buyers remorse with people when they are making a big decision.

Yet I always feel it myself, and I always have regrets, even though I know it's just an emotional reaction.

"What you've done is make the best choice possible for you."

Spot on CrapHacker - certainly happy with them based on the one range session so far.

And as home said the wedges are a bit chunky so I could always replace the PW.

So, do I go for another Vokey to match the 56 and 60 I have or a TM RAC...

:D
