finally joined a golf club near me, stratford oaks lovely club now i can get a handicapp and play in comps any one on here a memeber at the club any one got any advice on making some friends at the im new to all this

Well done. Are your competitions drawn in which case you'll meet lots of new members every time you enter. Do they hold roll ups (sometimes called greedies or swindles) anytime over the weekends. These tend to be informal comps (sometimes with their own in-group handicaps) usually for £2 per man and winner takes all (or may be 1st 2nd and 3rd depending on how many play)

click edit - paste url in of your club eg
