Well after 5 and a half years I'm finally a member of a club again.
When I moved from Suffolk to Surrey I just couldn't afford membership anywhere worth playing so have played very little golf other than the odd pay and play, maybe 10-15 rounds a year.
I've today paid my subs at my new place Woodcote Park
They've treated us really well and let us play as much as we like over the last month as it was so near to renewal time, and I really like the course. I was very worried that I wouldn't be able to play anywhere near my old handicapp of 8 though as my first few rounds were all in the upper 80's. Last 2 though have been 81, 83 (standard scratch is 73) so when I get some cards put in I shouldn't be too far from single figures.
Just thought I'd share my happiness at finally being a golfer again
