Just in case any of you were still believing Sky pundits that the English Premiership is the "best league in the world" I think the voices of thousands of fellow professionals speak a little more sense and indeed knowledge.

Dont be too upset though 3 EPL players were "on the bench" so to speak

Not jumping to the defence of the EPL or anything mate but i thought the world 11 being from 1 league is a bit nuts & would think the same if they all came from the EPL ..

Real Madrid currently arent even the second best team in Spain .. (5pts out of second) i think ..

The best manager ?, surely if you have the best players in the world it doesnt take the best manager to win , the best manager is the one who got results with limited resources etc...

Seems to me that it simply shows that the voters - players - are voting for those players with 'flair', so Spanish League (the best to watch imo - though don't get to see any South American league games) will have a higher proportion than anywhere else.

In my opinion
Most entertaining: Spanish
Most competitive: EPL
Most over-rated: probably Scottish.
Most corrupt: probably French.
Most boring: Italian

Not really sure why there has to be yet another dig at the EPL in the OP, but I can assure you that "most exciting" definately does not mean "technically best". My lads U9's Wigan league 1 is about as exciting as it gets for me. Fantastic entertainment every Sunday. I was surprised to see that nobody in his team was nominated.

It should be noted that none of the starting 11 made it to the Champions League final. Stranger and stranger.
