Favourite LP????

must say some great music tastes here,if it was maiden for me it would have to be 'number of the beast',or 'piece of mind',but its not,so after some deliberation i was going towards ac/dc 'if you want blood'or a 'dirty deeds'.which nearly got my shout.
but in the end saxon 'wheels of steel' gets it for me.

by the way 'misplaced childhood' listning to that for the last few months after rediscovering it.fish at his best

I remember going to see saxon at sheffield city hall when i was 15ish, first time i saw a guitar set on fire!!!! couldnt believe it.

Each to their own LB. Ozzy was great but not for very long. Heaven & Hell was also vg with the late RJ Dio.

Lots of good "Sabbath" albums without Ozzy. H&H is great - my vinyl copy was almost worn out. I also like "Seventh Star" with Glenn Hughes (grossly underrated singer BTW) on vocals. Just a shame Tony Iommi insisted on hanging the Black Sabbath name on them.

Hmmm, I always thought Wrathchild was an average track with tonnes better around that era like

Run to the Hills
Hallowed be thy Name
Running Free

One of my favourite Maiden songs was Alexander the Great

So did I back in the day but it's stood the test of time better than most of their stuff. Run to the Hills and Running Free are dull as dishwater IMO but I remember singing myself hoarse to them at the Glasgow Apollo as a teenager! Loved Maiden back then.

Only other track that I listen to with any regularity nowadays is Sanctuary.

I don't listen to any at all now but could still turn any album on and enjoy it.

Bat out of hell is good, back in black is ac/dc at their best, Best of Motörhead takes some beating, not keen on the stones or Beatles, but got to have some Who in there some where.

Dire straits, brothers in arms is a some what naff but great album too.

Just come down from the loft having found number of the beast, a testament album and reign in blood and south of heaven by slayer:eek:
Putting slayer on and starting to realise why my parents disliked the covers:D

Appetite for Destruction still does it for me, as does Chutzpah! by the Wildhearts. And Mutter by Rammstein... But Scream Eureka by the Eureka Machines is amazeballs... I quite like Rainbow Rising too.

Hmm... this is harder than I though.

But my absolute favourite album (this week) is probably Led Zep II.

Or IV.
