Favourite golf film?

Reading his biography just now. Apparently he swore a lot & chucked clubs when he was younger.

I knew that and the film shows it well - but even after he'd sorted that out the movie doesn't make him a sympathetic character - did like the film a lot though and had never heard of it until seeing it mentioned on another thread on here

Doesn't take a genius to work out my favourite.

Cannot stand Happy Gilmore however, Adam Sandler makes me want to break stuff.

Follow the Sun..........

Shame they didn't wait till after 1953 to make the film when Hogan won five of only six tournaments he entered that year, including three majors. Truly unbelievable after such a car crash.

Just in case you dont know...Hogan remains the only golfer in history to win the Masters, U.S. Open, and British Open in the same calendar year (1953). His 14-under par at the 1953 Masters set a record that stood for twelve years.

That was a great achievement by Hogan but not quite as good as Bobby Jones winning The US Open, British Open, US Amateur Open and British Amateur Open in one year.

dont know who you cant like Happy Gilmore, if you dont, you obviously take life too seriously. One of the funniest films ever made.

Gold Jacket, Green Jacket.....Who Gives a Sh*T.

There is a very interesting film/documentary on Netflix at the moment called - 'The Short Game'. Its all about the under8's world golf championships @ Pinehurst. Fascinating to watch. However, they give on lad a 10shot, YES 10 SHOT! penalty for being 30secs late to his tee time after a weather delay. he would have won by about 4 shots!
