Favourite drink

Have been working hard on convincing myself sparkling water with a slice of lemon or lime is plenty sufficient... Been a bit of an uphill struggle but have only given in to temptation on a couple of occasions this year... So far...

Similarly, I like Kriek after a stint in Brussels (Beer Circus) Lambic with the second fermentation being with Morello cherries. Slightly sour from the Lambic and the cherries but with an oddly sweet aftertaste.
Great ice cold and like Frambois you can easily get smashed without even realising.
Do you know which kriek it was?

Yeah Kriek needs sour as there is that sweet aftertaste. Sweet beer would male it like drinking cherryade.

Going to order a few Magic Lambic on your recommendation.
Let me know if you find some, it’s like hen’s teeth usually. I’ve only managed to find one bottle of it for sale before. The rest have either been at Cantillon itself or on keg at special events.

the last time I had an alcoholic drink was our wedding day in August, I just never ever fancy it or feel the need for one.

But if I do have a drink my preferred tastes would be a ice cold pint of well poured Guinness, an aged single malt or a Jack Daniels Honey with ice.

Probably going to be another 5 months before a drop passes my lips but it will be one of those 3 drinks.

Yeah, I realised this after I had a look. Rare and expensive. If I can find one I Will give it a bash. Short of travelling to Brussels which ain't going to be soon.

Not got any particular preferences.
However, on a nice sunny day there's nothing better than an ice cold beer. Preferably a good European one (The Track brewery in Manchester make some fabulous beers). A cold evening would bring out the red wine. A lovely new world Shiraz or Malbec preferably. To finish off would be a nice single malt from the Islands. Warm and peaty..

Track are fantastic. Some of their IPAs are world class at the moment. They’re currently serving out of the Cloudwater tap room which is a great combination.

I loved the old Track tap room. Actually preferred it to Cloudwater. There's also Wander Beyond not too far away which makes some really interesting beers. Once this is all over I'm going to have to make a pilgrimage into Manchester to make sure they don't struggle for funds ;)

I’ve got three 750ml bottles of Wander Beyond stouts at home that’ll be shared at some point. They do some crazy adjunct laden IPAs, too.

If I'm right, the Wander Beyond used to be called "Dan's Brewery". They really have decided to go big with the additions haven't they? Doesn't always work, but it's always interesting..

I think that’s the same people, yes. Completely change in focus from them and I’m a big fan.

Not had a pint of Grolsch since forever. Might be a bit too commercial for some refined tastes but definitely was one of my summer favourites
