fast Food!!!! Not sure McDonalds can call it that anymore!!

Of course they do. When was the last time you ate one, or are you basing your opinion on an experience circa 1990?

Whilst they may not be everyone's preference (my dad doesn't like the 'eating out of paper'), they are hardly revolting mush. They wouldn't have 69 million customers in over 100 countries if all they served was 'mush'

Are you sure it's not the same 69 customers having a million Big Macs though?

As it happens, I haven't had a MacDonalds (nor a Kentucky Fried, but that's another story) nor a Burger King in a significant number of years! An occasional (usually Winter) urge was easily forgotten/ignored! I'm a Subway fan though - which is better until Cookies (Double Chocolate!) are involved! Cookies make great mid-round snacks though!

Maybe it was just the timing, but it has always seemed to me that the whole point of MacD's is the ability to just (over)pay, grab and go!

That is how we use them. Rarely done but on a long trip a visit to the golden arches drive thru serves a purpose. Simple and easy. Incidentally, for those who knock them they should try a wrap. Very nice.

They have strict regulations on how long things can be cooked and left heated for. It really is not long and they genuinely throw it away if it goes outside the time limit. People scoff at McD, I'm not suggesting you are Murph, but if you actually look deeply into what they do their practices actually stand up to pretty harsh scrutiny. Of course, you should not eat them regularly, but their sourcing, standards etc are all pretty good.

First world problems.......

Pretty sure the standard wait time in civilization is not 20 mins either.

I just want to know where my cheeseburger was when we went through the drive through. Next time i order i am going through the bag to check it, they are ruddy useless at my local one! Always forget something!!

think i was about the only person having a reg Burger. Everyone else was having a whole manner of wraps and the likes.

TBH, the only reason i ever have a Big Mac is as they were the ones always ready.
i suppose its called progress;)

I usually have a cheese quarter pounder "grill" whenever I go in. Just meat, cheese, onions and lettuce as I don't like pickle or mayo.
I appreciate that I will be directed to bay 3 in the waiting area as mine is not a run of the mill burger, and needs seperate preparation.
But what gets my goat is whenever I think I'll have nuggets or a big mac meal to avoid the wait, I'm still sent to bay 3 because they're waiting for bloody chips!!

I can't understand for the life of me why McDonald's persist with those manky breakfast eggs.

They have a grill, crack said egg onto the grill and do it properly.

For years id roll up and ask for some bacon on my burger. Most would tell me they couldn't do it. I even said listen just grab it from the freezer and charge me a quid. Most of the time they said no. Now every bleeding burger has bacon in it like they have stumbled across some new idea. They had it the whole time. :sbox:

I remember driving up to a golf meet in the Midlands one morning. It was early, and I called into Cambridge Services (or somewhere like that) for something "to keep me going".
I was the only one in this Burger King, and not liking Mayo, or any other such crap, just ordered a bacon double cheeseburger to go.
Girl took my order, I waited for about 10 minutes and was given this burger wrapped up in greaseproof paper.
Being in a bit of a hurry, I just jumped in the car, left the services and unwrapped it as I was driving.
Took a big bite and bloody mayonnaise went everywhere............ she had given me a Whopper Sandwich instead!!
How could the silly bint get my order wrong??? I was the only one in there!!

The last time I had a McD in this country was when shopping with HID and my son (then about 14, now 33) I didn't want to go there but they did and HID said tat they have a new Chinese dish on the menu and suggested I have that

When it came it tasted like it was covered in Benelyn cough linctus and I never had another cold for about 10 years!

The last time I had one was in Washington DC, and did so, simply because it was the largest McD's in the world - they didn't have the Chinese offering!

You know that that is exactly how they do the eggs? They just crack it into a round holder to fry them, rather than letting it spread out more. (unless it's changed in the last couple of years)

This is how I've always got the egg. its as if they crack the egg and stir it before letting it set. some yellow monstrosity.

I often chuck a wrap of the day £2 in the bag as a mid round snack.. Grilled it's very healthy
