With so many posts asking about fake sites could a sticky not be added with fake sites??

Would this be open to legal problems though?

Just an idea?!?

You could be looking at a legal minefield. Imagine the problems if someone posted an innocent site as selling fakes.

I have asked mike the same question but think the same that it is a legal minefield. So wait and see what he says but I would imagine it would be hard to do without some sort of comeback.

Thats what i thought but there are many responses saying steer well clear of such a sight already!?

It is one thing having the occasional post asking about a site that stays around for a day then disappears. It is a whole different matter posting a name of a company under a big, permanent heading of 'SELLS FAKE CLUBS'.

To be fair, with a bit of common sense, it is pretty obvious which sites are selling fakes.

What about an article in the magazine, perhaps with some advice from Trading Standards about how to spot fake clubs and fake sites. What would also help would be comments from the manufacturers as to what to look for on their clubs to tell that they are original.

Thats a better idea but mayb on here and the mag so that it stays permanently.

Common sense does have a lot to do with it but people still get caught

Sorry Chris just read your other post :o

Hve my doubts over these guys. http://www.golfperformance.co.uk/

Placed an order on Sunday and not had anything to confirm when it will be shipped or even if it has been received. Left a message and an e-mail but fancy I might be contacting the credit card company in the next few days at this rate.

I don't think they are dealing in fakes at all, as they seem like a legit registered UK company:

CLUBHOUSE GOLF LIMITED
599 ECCLES NEW ROAD
SALFORD
MANCHESTER
LANCASHIRE
M50 1EP

In fact, if you whack that address into google, you can clearly see a golf shop!

They may not have the best customer service and ordering system, judging by your experience, but that doesn't make them dealers of fakes.

And this post is supporting the problem with having a thread that lists purveyors of fake goods, I guess.

On the plus side these guys contacted me on Wednesday and shipped the order which arrived today. On the downside it was two items short which "will follow" but at least they are perfectly legit. They do some pretty good gear too
