Fake Bettenardi BC1??

I have just bought a second hand Betternadi BC1 putter, but I'm now concerned that it might be a fake. All the photos I've seen of BC1s show the face with a yellow infill around the 'insert' and the Mizuno logo on the face is filled in white. Neither of these are filled in on mine. I questioned the guy selling it and he says the paint has worn out. I could possibly accept that argument for the yellow, but he would have to be a shocking putter in order to wear out the white, it is right by the heel!

The infills on the bottom of the club seem correct, and the head cover also is right.

The putter does feel the correct weight and balance. It has a replacement grip, so the club may well have had a lot of use.

A quick trawl on the Interweb has not revealed any other instances of this problem, if it is a problem

from the looks of it, someone may have had a go at a DIY paintfill on your one. It really needs a better picture to be able to see the machining marks on the face and on the neck to be a bit more sure.
