If you had the ability to hit every fairway and every green what effect would it have on your player character.....
Ok from my perspective it would initially be brilliant....I mean it would give you the ability to really rip the course apart of you could Putt.....

But....I feel that i would quickly get bored of hitting straight shots...As much as i search for a decent repeatable swing and as much as i might kick myself for hitting off line it does give you a more rounded game and maybe in time the ability to hit any shot...

Missing greens and fairways does have its advantages in my eyes....But its best to not miss them all.

Interesting idea.

I was going to move on over to another thread, then I thought I should at least point out one thing.

I enjoyed my golf much more when I was all over the place, and quit at the end of the season when I was hitting the ball the straightest but couldn't come to terms with the "zombie" golf of taking 3 to hit the greens on the long holes. I either had to get red hot with medium/short game or start all over again (for about the 3rd time) to build a swing that had more power. Neither was of interest to me.

Nobody hits it that straight all the time and I do enjoy playing with talented guys who have to rescue miracles to play to their 4 or 5 handicaps. They don't seem to enjoy it, but I think it's a pride thing more than anything.

Not sure I could ever get bored of hitting fairways and greens.

I guess when you get to the point that you are hitting most fairways and greens you start to work more precisely on your distance control and it comes more about how close you can hit it and how many birdies you can make. No matter how good you get, golf will always have a challenge for you

I would quite happily play "boring" golf by hitting every fairway and green! I think I'd enjoy it more if I could!

I would love to hit every fairway and green in reg. Don't really understand anyone who would not. If I could I would not be here! I would be on tour, earning a fortune. For one thing.

I am reasonably accurate off the tee but then start fretting about distance, or lack thereof. Have worked on distance with some success...but accuracy is not as good as it was! I suggest that even if you were hitting fairways and greens in regulation human nature would take over and you'd be striving to hit in less than regulation?

Hitting every Fw and green would mean I would shoot in the 60s every single time I went out. Struggling to see anything boring about that:s

I'd happily take boring golf any day of the week. What you have to bear in mind though is that even the top pros including the world #1 miss the occasional green and fairway and so you'd still need to have a fully working short game to stop the odd big number hitting the card
