Looks like the rest of the season is going to be a Mercedes lock out, like it was with Red Bull last year .
Suggestion; why dont they get the same team of guys to build the exact chassis etc and then let the teams chose their own engine supplier, this would guarantee us fans good racing.......

They tried that, it was all A1 Grand Prix, it was a single make championship, where the driver represented their own country. It ran from 2005 to 2009 I think. The cars were designed so that there was not much turbulence from the back of the cars, in an attempt to allow closer racing and hopefully more over taking.

A1GP was okay but it never go the support that F1 gets.

That said F1 is just a snooze fest. Point made this afternoon when the sky sports commentator said Button had had a good pit spell as he had over taken someone else.

We are having AWESOME racing!! does not matter that Merc are out front, at least its not RedBull again...

F1 has always been the same... not point looking at it like touring cars or GT.. its not that, its not even a sport its a soap!

They're dominating, but at least both of their drivers are allowed to race. The last ten laps yesterday were awesome. And the last ten laps in Bahrain were awesome.

Then it'd be a spec series, not F1. As Khamelion said, A1GP was essentially this with a Ferrari engine, and it folded because of lack of support. If you want to watch spec racing, then GP2 or GP3 is entertaining, as is Indycar from time to time.

Have a look at the racing further down the grid though, there was great racing all the way through. Vettel coming from 15th to finish 4th was amazing to watch. The rivalry at Ferrari is great, and Williams are having their best season for 10 years.

Force India will come good on the lower downforce tracks like Spa and Monza. I think The Hulk will get a podium at one of these tracks.

Marussia vs Caterham is really interesting too.

Pastor Maldenado is trying for the record of the most accidents in one season.

I'm thoroughly enjoying this season.

I guess its not a real dip your toe in kind of motor racing, if you dont understand it maybe it could be boring.... Not sure how you can say there is no racing though... guess your not actually watching it?! There was and is racing all the way though the field!!!

Id say its been massive improvement on some of the processions we used have a number of years ago. Although I did nod off on Sunday pm.....;) Most races have a lot of overtaking and plenty of incidents. I understand that if you compare it to the bikes its boring but tactics and strategy do play a key part in the overall involvement. The main reason for the difference is money and funding for the teams which is huge! You could compare that to the likes many sports such as football.
As a petrol head however Im not into all this hybrid crap and the engine notes are ...well... just weird!! Like some sort of whining space cruiser thing off Blade Runner.... You cant go and watch a race and not have the bellow of a V8 or the scream of a V12 its just not worth the entrance fee.

I have been a massive F1 fan for years and have been to a fair few races over the years but I am really struggling to watch it this year as I am just finding it a borefest, Hamilton and Rosberg going toe to toe a few races ago was good but the rest is just lame. I am finding myself looking forward to the BTCC more and will Sky plus that and skip through and watch the races as I find that to be a lot better entertainment.

Mercedes are only dominating because of the engine, pop it in the redbull and it could well be another redbull title. It's just the way of F1, this season and next season should be free testing and open engine development ... But that may get expensive.

Partly true... its more along the lines of the way it is installed in the car. Lots of other teams have the Merc engine, its a chassis/engine combo. Merc could make decisions on cooling and loading before there customer cars could.
