As our course is closed on the 26th June for The Open Qualifying practise i was looking through the SGU site for opens and found this one has anybody on here played it and if so what did they think about it.
Aye my mate is head greeny there.....not bad, right on a cliff top and is kinda links without the links grass, more parkland grass and can get wet but in the summer should be fine.Worth a game but not one I would rave about.....5.5 out of 10.Pro is a'nice' boy..
Worth a visit,do like a 90 dog-leg and a bit of knowledge of the course does make it more enjoyable as some of the greens aint flat.
Can be dangerous as some fairways are close together.
Since my course has been snowed under all winter, i have travelled to many links courses over winter and i recently played Eyemouth.
5.5 out of 10 is slightly unfair, it was it good nick for the time of year and very very very dry considering all the snow. Nice course for winter golf, look forward to playing it in summer and see what its like then.
Any other courses people recommend in that area (planning few days away with groups of gents) ?????
