Before I start, I'll make to clear that I'm a Liverpool fan to avoid confusion

Why not? Before last night, all the blues were saying they not playing well enough, but still winning matches. Which is universally recognised as the sign of a good team. Then they go and demolish Newcastle, confidence must be high, feel good factor is with them. While Arsenal seem to have hit self destruct and Spurs woefully inconsistent, it looks Evertons to lose for me.

Which brings me to Manchester United, as all us reds have been reminded for years, they are the blues fans second team (some may say first at certain times, but not me....) how ironic if Everton finish fourth and United somehow pick up form/luck/refereeing decisions and go on and win ol big ears. I personally wouldn't know whether to laugh or cry :o suppose my feelings towards it depends on of we win the league or not...

I think we'll know mor after the next 2 games. Arsenal V City then Everton. Thats the pontential for everton to draw level on points assuming they beat Fulham.
Beyond that though Arsenal do have a pretty easy run in, where as everton still have to play City and UTD.

I do think it would be ironic and amusing if Arsenal actually break the trophy drought with the FA cup and drop out of the top 4 which they have strived for every season......

It was when Mourinho and Pellegrini were talking a load of guff about favourites/thoroughbreds/dogs/racing and Rodgers said we could be the Chihuahua that run through all the others legs. If you have to explain......

jaypers if i called the pool a Chihuahua it would be glove slapping pistols at dawn ha ha......

sorry mate missed that interview...

I just saw that, if it was on a weekend and not 2 weeks before our Inverness trip, I may have fancied that. maybe not the WC squad players, but we may send "Flanno" - they'll be packing them in.:D

Would love to think the mighty (or maybe not so mighty) Fulham could get something from a home fixture against Everton who don't have a great record at the Cottage. However seeing the way they battered Newcastle and the fragility of confidence and our defence I can't see beyond an away win or 1-1 at the very outside. I think though Everton won't get 4th and will drop some silly points at some stage.

St Mary's. Thought it was harsh that UTD were considered a difficult game an us easy by sky pundits considering the league positions aren't to far apart.

Everton won't finish 4th, squad is too small, and don't forget we still have a lot of injuries. Last night's win was basically because we had a bit of attacking pace back in the side.
At the moment, I'm hoping we don't finish 4th, squad is too small and lacks quality. Playing in Champions League would destroy the confidence we are starting to build in the managers philosophy. We would either lose our qualifier or finish 4th (3rd at best) in the group phase.
I'm hoping we finish 5th and have a good Summer, bring in a shrewd couple of loan signings again, maybe be able to spend a couple of quid and have a go at the Europa League

I'm surprised you've not blamed Liverpool in some way shape or form😁

You know what would be funny, Everton and Spurs finish 4th and 5th, United win the CL, does that not mean if Arsenal do not win the FA Cup, then they will not even make a Europa LEague spot. I get confused with who goes in depending on who wins what.
