Had a day off today to use up the last bit off annual leave before 31st March. My oh my what a glorious day. Thin adidas shirt under a think jumper and that had been taken off halfway down the first. Teed off about 1.15 and the course was dead. Had plenty of time to play my shots and then hit chips, putts etc before wandering off to the next hole. Only got a bit chilly on the last few as the clouds bubbled up and the breeze started.

31 points (17 out 14 back) and some very good ball striking especially the irons on the front nine. Moved the ball position a smidgeon forward on my drives from the 14th onwards and happy days with that. The odyssey #9 was in the bag for an experiement which failed. The only dark side remains my chipping and the head is full of chocolate frogs now and scrambled beyond belief. I've got myself in knots. However 6th April is D-Day for a chipping lesson and once I've cleared the fog everything is starting to click into place a bit now. Always good to get a weekday round and the lie in until 10.00 wasn't too shabby either. Shame it's back to it tomorrow and a full week again next week.

Empy course, lovely Spring day and even 31 points sounds like a good day to me!! A good score just around the corner i think.

Glad you had a good day.

I was out today aswell and the weather was stunning! shame the golf wasn't but i don't mind as much when the weather is nice.

Even got a little bit of colour in my arms from the sun! but i am fair skinned so i even get moon burn! ;)

Nice one Homer,

A lovely day to play. I found at the weekend(33 pts) that the greens had changed so so much over the week and they totaly through me for both chipping and putting. I started to get it together after 4 putting the 1st and 3 putting the 2nd. I think my ball striking was actualy better then the week before when I hit my PB but there was not the majic that was there the week before. Looking forward to playing tomorrow. 15c with some sunshine here and there.

That's what I like to hear Homer, working your way into a bit of form for Saturday.

There's no better way to speand a day off than on an empty golf course in the sunshine is there.

I like to know how people are getting on. I like to post how I am getting on if its going well.

After every game, content gets boring, fed up reading Homers multiple personality posts they get boring and repetitive.

Practiced hit it great,

Went out and played a few holes hit it well, striking it well.

Saturday medal couldn't get it going.

Boring yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawnnnnn!

Lets change the record. Maybe your right, time to hit the ignore button perhaps.

A little harsh maybe but a lesson in keeping it positive on and off the course perhaps?

It's a bit unfair on Homer.

In isolation, half the postings on here, including mine, arn't worth much, but, taken overall it's what makes the forums readable.

Without the stalwarts of the forum I, for one, wouldn't have bothered staying here after the first week or so and would not have got so involved.

Leave HJS alone I say, and if you dont want to read his contributions thats your perogative but I am happy to read what he has to say

Chris
