Can someone be a member of both England golf and Scotland golf? Would it be like if you were a member of two golf clubs in England or would they both be “home” clubs for England and Scotland respectively? Which membership would take priority for WHS?

Just curious? 🙃

At a guess, and I'm only replying to fill the void 😄 , I would say that whichever course you nominate as your home course takes precedence. The two systems are now linked so if you nominate a Scottish course as your home one and play a comp at your English course, they should both update together.

Well, not something that would ever apply to me or something I've investigated. But, dear friend Google responds:

"Yes, if you are a member of clubs on both sides of the England-Scotland border, you can be a member of both England Golf and Scottish Golf, as the organizations facilitate cross-border scoring and membership."

But, I wouldn't refer to that as the definitive answer, as I've sure there must be some in here who know for sure.

Thank you for replies! So it’s looking like it’s no different to being a member of two clubs in England, except for paying both EGU and SGU membership fees.

I have been a member of a course in OZ and England on numerous occasions.

My handicap rarely changed from a 5....but that was pre World (ha ha) HS
