Els

Writing someone with the talent of Els off is a little bit silly really. One thing showed today that the old saying form is temporary & class is permanent is very true. Woods is still not that comfortable in the major arena yet. Feel sorry for Scott, but if he has Jaq to comfort him then he should feel better real soon. Does the big man know Jaq?:D
have to go pick the big man up from the airport in a couple of hours...til then i have scotty ;)

a win's a win but he was handed that on a platter by a man who's arse leaked all over the final few holes.

Aint anywhere near the golfer he has been but he's proved me wrong albeit by getting lucky to pick up the jug.

Some credit must be given to Els for shooting -4 on the back 9....turned the screw enough for Scott to eventually choke

Big arry redknapp was interviewed early doors on Thursday and when asked to pick a winner.

He plumped for els.

I wasn't really interested in the comparison between the two tbh. Just amused to see you get it so wrong about Els.:whoo:

Not the first time either, I wrote off big leftie before he won this year as well.

Some you win, some you lose, some you end up with egg on your face. Life goes on.

Yes, only some credit for what was an exceptional back 9!!

Absolutely not! Els is still not in the Tiger class. That is 100% fact.

Winning in golf is everything, class is nothing if you don't win.

So please explain to us in 100% fact how Tiger did better than Ernie. When Tiger is Ernie's age he will be finished, his youthful vigor has gone and he does not have the mental strength and inward calm to keep up with the field. He has no inner beauty like Ernie' Jack and Tom and will reap what he sows.

I think you've answered your own question!

Indeed I was, good observation.

As for the remark that Els is not in Tiger class I stand by that 200%. Would you like me to compare the records?

Yesterdays headlines are today's chip paper. Tiger cannot do it now, whether he will in the future is in doubt. He has to many issues and has fiddled so much with his game it is a mess.

Tiger seemed to play like a big hitting 4 handicapper in the club championship.
He played safe off the tee as he knew he would lose a few balls if he went with the driver.
Nicklaus could have won a few more titles if he had not been so welded to his strategy, I think Tiger is going down the same road.

It was obvious that tiger was uncertain on quite a few tees.
