My new club is a bit hilly and having carried in the past and sometimes used my push trolley i am finding the 18 holes hard work on my tiring legs

My question is would buying a new or second hand electric trolley be a big bonus compared to my push trolley, would i find it easier going on the legs etc.

If so i am tempted but its a big outlay so may want to go the second hand route perhaps.

Note sure what to do folks, advice welcome:)

I think the easy answer is, do you find it any easier when you push against carrying? If the answer is yes which I would expect it to be, then having an electric trolley will be an advantage over the push!

I am at the same stage now and looking at various electric trolleys. I'm lucky my club has a shed for us to leave them in rather than loading them all the time in & out of the car.

If the weather is very warm carrying is too much now on the hilly course, push trolley is better but i am now pushing a trolley and a heavier Powakaddy cart bag up hills / slopes

Is it a good idea to find a cheap second hand PK Freeway etc or is that false economy ?

Like everything in life, you get what you pay for and sometimes you can be paying for someone else's problems!

If you have the budget then buy new so you have the warranty and peace of mind.

Buy cheap, pay twice!

I have recently had the same thoughts as you and ended up buying a second hand trolley off Ebay that had a broken frame and no battery. I replaced a section of the frame and bought a new battery and the trolley is as good as new but after using it last weekend I have realised that I really like carrying.
I am going to keep hold of the trolley and use it when I play full weekends or more than 1 round in a day.

I was lucky, bought second hand of a family friend, no issues as yet twelve months on, I managed to get hold of a PK freeway 2 x battery and a cart bag for £125, then 6 months ago my dad;s PK broke after 8 years of use so I now have a spare motor and 2 extra batteries.

If you go down the second hand route I would advise to buy from someone you know, that way I feel you are less likely to be sold a bad one.

Buy a basic powakaddy or motocaddy and you shouldn't have any problems. Avoid the cheap made in china ones like the plague.

My 2nd hand powakaddy freeway cost £150 and I recenlty picked up a second hand Powakaddy clasic for my wife for £25 without a battery. It's old and antiquated but with a new battery it has a new lease of life

My mother bought a powerbug sport x off a family friend 18months on and its still perfect. My club hires electric trolleys for £6 a round and normal trolleys for £3 around.

Big thumbs up for electric. I'm diabetic and it has meant I'm a lot fresher all the way round. I can pack it out with drinks and snacks. I can also chuck waterproofs in all the time "just in case" as we all know what a great summer we're having.
