Afternoon Chaps,

In the same way HID cant walk past a shop without buying new clothes I have this voice in my head everytime I see a Powakaddy saying "DOOOOOO ITTTTT DOOOOO ITTTTT" Decided that my well earned credit limit is going to take abit of a beating and get one!

The Powakaddy Freeway is firm favourite but I am open to any opionion on a decent trolley. I will need a cart bag also and im looking to pick one up as cheap as possible but a decent one (aren't we all)

Any help or opinion would be welcomed...

At the moment it looks like the Powakaddy from AG and a Callaway Cart Bag £89 online. Your thoughts?

...Also prefereably for when I am playing rubbish and need entertaining I would like one with a remote control but know this will probably bump the cost up!

Oh dear!! Here comes the barrage of GoKart users.

I know your pain, I have just bought a Motocaddy S1 Digital from AG and can't recommend it enough. Have only used it twice but it is superb and well worth the £299.

Ive a powakaddy and since 'converting' from carrying, some 4 years ago, have to say, it makes a big difference
One thing Id say... re - a trolley bag
some trolley bags twist and move around on a trolley, but powakaddy and motocaddy bags, have a slot on the base of the bag that effectively 'locks' the bag in position, and stays in place through your round

GO FOR IT...............

i have always resisted this urge but decided to get a trolley last year and having used one of the new style 3 wheel pushed trolleys (s1 lite) i am in the same thought process although i have managed to wrangle a cart bag already the new s1 pro looks my choice.

my cousin has one with a remote. i think he looks silly. hes like a big 50 year old kid at times with it! avoid!

They are great things, especially in the rain when they keep everything drier and "hands free".

I have a Powerbug and can't complain in the slightest with it. I'd recommend anything thats been around for a while. Hillbilly, Powerbug, GoKart, Motocaddy. They all usually have some sort of deal on the go so worth checking them all out before commiting to Powakaddy.

Im on the opposite end of the spectrum, i had a trolley went to a carry bag, then a powakddy and now back to carrying, i found that the trolley was a pain in the @rse to lug in and out of the car and then clean it, remember to charge the thing blah blah. worst of all for me was that after hitting a bad shot, i got to the ball tooo quickly and still annoyed and would end up making a pigs ear again, since i went back to my bag i have slowed right down (not too slow i hasten to add)
Still Powakaddy is probably the best as i think Motocaddy has not got the same customer support as PK
when my PK motor went i phoned them didnt have the receipt but they could tell from the serial no this was under warranty, off to the local PK centre and picked it up next day, the changed the gears and als o the clutch at the same time so i wouldnt have any problems in the future.
mate had a MK and he said they were terrible trying to get his fixed

Avoid the made in China ones on ebay and stick with a known brand such as Powakaddy, Motocaddy and GoKart.

Buy a basic model with an on off switch and a speed control dial and you shouldn't have any problems

Have recently bought GoKart due to rave reviews however not totally impressed with automatic handle control...maybe just need to get used to it

I've had a Motocaddy S1 for a couple of years now and it's good but...the go/stop button is too easy to inadvertantly nudge so I have more than once had to chase it, almost finished in a dyke once. And the speed contoller went haywire after 18 months and cost about 18 quid to replace.
