I am trying to edit my profile/basic info, I can not seem to save the changes, I have tried several different ways????

Do you go into settings then edit profile and once you have done what you need to save the changes?

Settings....edit profile.....then save.....but it does not save them?

There is only one way to save any changes to the basic profile and that's by scrolling to the bottom of the page and clicking 'Save Changes'. However, if there is an issue with the content you are attempting to save the error window will advise what is required to enable you to save the profile data edits - a common error being that the user hasn't completed the anti-bot measure Q&A (at the bottom of the first section).
Although, if you're editing account critical information (i.e. password and/or email address) you will need to enter your current password in the top slot before clicking on 'Save Changes'.
If there is no error message I would suggest, as a first resort, that you flush your GM cookies, log back in and try again.

It was the error message, as I did not take any notice of it as it was not connected with what I was changing
