Better than negative feedback!
Risk depends if it's a lot of money or just a few quid. Paypal does offer some protection at least.

Paying by Psypal offers YOU protection!

I don't have any qualms about buying off low feedback guys - provided no megatives.

Prices often lower because of 'fear' of low feedback and postage occasionally not as quick, but little extra danger imo.

Everyone’s got to start somewhere
see If item is Eligble for buyer protection and pay with PayPal.
ebay is heavily balanced to the buyer.

In 99.9 percent of occasions you are fine. There are situations where you can be stung or inconvenienced a lot so just be aware. Not receiving the item is an easy one - you will get your refund. Not as described doesn't always go the way of the buyer (mostly but not always!) and it is up to you to offer proof of not as described.

Fake items are a pain as you have to prove its fake. All takes time and energy. If the item is cheap - I would have no issue. I would never buy something expensive from a new seller with no or little feedback. I like others to take the risks first and if your happy to do so and its genuine then you will likely get it cheaper as people like me will avoid

This, everyone starts at 0% on ebay. See if they have a sales record, how many sales etc. (maybe not available if no feedback). If they don't have any, perhaps they are a first timer. If there's two or three and recent dates, still just starting out. If there are a few over a longer period, have to wonder why no feedback, but generally bad service results in bad feedback pdq.

I’ve sold a fair bit of stuff over the years and sometimes people just don’t give feedback at all. There must be at least 30 occasions where this has happened.

I have never worried about not receiving feedback, I have got more than enough brownie points to be seen as a goody. One advantage of it is that buyers sometimes cannot see what price you paid when you resell.

I don't worry about it either, my feedback score is 100% and I am well into the hundreds.
