Just been looking on ebay, Theres stuff on there thats extortionate compared to prices available online from other retailers.

Dozen grade A Srixon distance balls... £5.99 with £4.99 postage.

Theres places online, 2doz for £15 or 1doz for £9.99.

Yeah there is stuff at great prices and great bargains to be had, but theres some silly people been ripped off :(

i had imo a gret bargin on a putter saved 35£ on its rrp and it had been used once!, i was very sceptical had good cantact with the seller, aswell as being alert to the feedback left

surly tho the inflated prices when seen are crossed checked with whats on offer for that same item across other retailers! i know i do ima tight bugger find it hard that peeps others dont and take it as ebay thats a good price everythings cheaper on ebay!!

ah yes the seamingly low price that beats the shop by a quid but they miss the shipping costs that overall is 4-5quid more lol

crazy

Gob smacked at some of the prices

Good stuff on gumtree at the moment.

Ebay seems to be profiteering for some people where gumtree seems to be genuine people selling old gear

Seen a Dunlop putter that retailed at £5 in sd going for £10 plus £5 p&p...numerous bids on it too!!! Can get good deals but have to shop around first. Would prefer to pay a bit more to get it from a shop.

It's a buyers market. If someone is stupid enough to bid more or use buy it now and not shop around then tough on them.

There are a lot of shops that do business on ebay. Some are hilarious the same place can be selling the same item for 3 different prices but fair play to them. Are people not allowed to capitalize on stupidity/laziness to make a profit now? Take your time, shop around and check things over and you'll always get the best price.

There are bargain to be had everywhere but this is equally true for rip offs.

Richie.

Are you just being very lazy or are you just a typical result of that nice Mr Blair's initiative "Education, Education, Education" and really have no idea how difficult it is to read and understand a post like yours where the spelling and grammar are so poor. I'm the first to admit that I may not be perfect in this field but at least I can understand what it is that I have written.

Well said that man.

I've done very well buying from ebay since taking up golf, but you have to watch a lot of auctions end before nabbing a bargain. I've seen people bid more than new shop prices for a second hand club etc towards the end because they're caught up in the excitement and don't want to lose it.

There are LOADS of people who will will take your money, they're not just on ebay :-)

I got my wedges, putter and 5 wood, bags and balls all at a fraction of what I would in the shops, but it takes patience and the ability to say "its gone too expensive" and walk away.

Panst,

R u bein V annoyin intentinly or r u natraly jus a konb?

In this case johnO it seems that I was a konb, sorry, knob. But equally, I don't think that it was very clever of you to try to imitate someone who does have real problems.

Happy birthday by the way.

:D

Richie. My apologies. I wasn't thinking when I made my post.

In my defence (well partially) I have seen many people who do not have your problems, who cannot be bothered to express themselves "correctly" in writing. A good example is the way "text speak" is becoming the norm for many youngsters.
