Drugs and golf.

Following on from an other post. Are enhancement drugs and pain killers banned in golf?

Do the winners have to take a drugs test? Infact are there any drug tests in golf random or other wise. As in other sports?

Not that I'm aware of, I can't see any drugs being a benefit in golf, you need all your faculties and senses working in golf.

Yes, there are banned substances and there is random drug checking.

In amateur golf, I don't believe they routinely check, although they have done previously.

Drugs could be a massive benefit. I've posted about this before, so I won't go into full detail.
People mostly just associate drugs with steroids and meatheads. The fact is there are all kinds of drugs out there, drugs to calm the nerves, drugs to help with not tiring, drugs to help you recover from training (steroids, they're not just for huge muscles), drugs to help you sleep (probably useful on Saturday night when you're leading the masters!) the list could go on.

Just wondered as a guy I know who has a degree in this sort of thing. Said he could make up a poition to use as a drink during a round. That would calm nerves clear you head aid concentration. Add stamina and stop any tieredness. Was thinking of trying it out in the next comp.

I think you should be able to take drugs that help/affect you mentally as you are still doing the work within your natural physical capabilities. Anything that gives you a physical edge should be banned, with the users being shot... repeatedly!!

A degree in "this sort of thing"? What sort of thing is that, exactly?

Maybe he can get some Lucozade Sport and dissolve a Berocca in it.

There are no wonder drugs for golf.
