Hi guys would just like to post on what a amazing summer of golf i have had on the back of winning the junior club championship!

Firstly i have dropped 7 shots from my handicap (is that a good thing?) from 31 to 24. I have also finished runner up in two staple-ford competitions.

The cream on the top was winning the best gross score in the junior club championship with me being 3rd after the first day and eventually sealing it by 4 shots. On the 36th hole i canned a massive ridiculous lob from the green side rough that if it had missed would of run about 40 feet past :D

just to say thanks to you guys at GM forums for the support you have showed me since joining and the ironic fact that since becoming forum member my scores have improved :D :D :D

Always good to see the youngsters making progress. Congratulations of a fruitful season. Do you have any particular aims for the winter months. Are you going to work on your game (hopefully with a PGA pro) or are you just going to keep playing. Have you found any weaknesses as the winter would be an ideal time to work on them and so you can come out all guns blazing next season and hopefully break the 20 barrier with ease

Re: Does anyone use pro vs

Will be working on the game with my PGA pro in the winter with my main points being grip, swing and ball striking. Also to keep me playing in the winter months i will spend i hour a week at the short game area one hour on the range and will go for 9 holes at the weekend

Oh and sorry don't use prov1s and thanks for completely changing the subject

Re: Does anyone use pro vs

Who ever uses pro v balls would u rather have the old ones or have the new ones?

A bit random :D

Anyway Rob,
Well done on some great preformances over the summer and I'm sure with some dedication over the winter months your handicap will no doubt plummet into the teens come next summer.

Also keep playing in comps over the winter if you can as this can help keep your hand in mentally aswell.

Well done :)

Re: Does anyone use pro vs

As a thought, and I like what you are planning over the winter, I think you need to get in a few 18 hole competitions or rounds too just to see how the swing holds up especially under a bit of pressure. Other than that look forward to the hours of hard work and reaping the rewards.

As a practice junkie myself, I have already got a detailed breakdown of what my coach and I are working on this winter. There are going to be a lo of changes and a lot of range balls required.

Best gross score off 24? what did you shoot?
