You don't pay someone a massive retainer like that if all you want them to do is dole out a couple of aspirin. Doctor M knew that what he was doing was dangerous and unethical... this stuff was a surgical anaesthetic for god's sake. Sticking it into someone like you were just giving them a glass of warm milk to help them sleep was appallingly dangerous.
Sad end to a life, but creatively MJ was a busted flush, so I hardly think the world is going to be deprived of any more classic music. His decline was irreversible I fear....
I am a doctor and in my opinion the idea of giving propofol either as a hypnotic or in a patients home is pretty much a text book example of gross negligence. This case has been widely discussed on a forum for doctors and not one doctor who responded thought he was not guilty. Some though he might be found not guilty, but that is a different question.
