Yes or No?

Whether within a pitta with salad and spicy sauce, sitting on a pillow of chips and cheese or making up your favourite pizza topping or calzone filling, donner is THE most popular takeaway meat in the UK.

What say you, GM forumites?

Big Yes here

Only after a drinking session though either as a kebab with loads of chilli sauce or as an extra topping on a large chicken and mushroom pizza and once again clattered in chilli sauce :thup:

Making me hungry now, must start drinking some beer first though :cheers:

The fact that you call it "Donner Meat" seals the deal for me..........

Any idea what it is - really.......

Yes- it's basically where all the meat has been taken off the sheep/lamb leaving only bone and scraps. Then the carcass is blasted with a high power hose.

Everything that falls off the bone is then combined in a mixture of fat and seasoning to make a big stick of meat.

This is then grilled and cut into slithers to make "Donner Meat".

Sounds scrumptious:confused::mad:

No way, never have and never will. Disgusting looking stuff!

You'll be walking back from Campbeltown to Machrihanish at 2 in the morning full of the Springbank munching a Donner Hoggie.

I once was told (from a reputable source) that a whole Donner, as seen on the Kebab spit costs a grand total of... wait for it... £25!!!!

As above, rank meat that gets defrosted in the bath in some establishments before racking and cooking.

Give me a good chinese or pizza any day.
