Do you follow a certain pro's swing?

I don't attempt to make my swing like a specific pro (if only!) but love to watch Ernie and this picture is my favourite for inspiration. I love Luke's swing and the lack of a fancy dan wrap it right round your neck follow through. Having said that I don't tire of watching Rory either.

Got to be earnie for me! Pretty timeless and effortless.... Other than that Adam Scott as well.....

The pro who i have lessons uses tiger's as a model .Comparing it to mine on the V1 Pro software.

A lot of what he teaches me is based around trying to hit key points as in tigers swing.

Not going great so far, although ive got the tiger tantrums down pretty well

Which one, he has had a few now :D

I dont think there is anything wrong with being individual, as long a it works on a repeatable basis, you are laughing.

NEver model my swing on anyone, by trying to hit the lines they do or matching their swind due to different build types of everyone. If i'd matched mine on someone of a similar build i'd end up like Corey Pavin!":fore:

However what I do like to look at is the tempo of certain swings and how they flow to remind me that a good swing doesn't need to be hurried. So based on that I'd look at the tempos of Els, Goosen, Donald even Mickelson as he has good flow to his swing.

No idea what I'd say or who i'd say my swing looks like though.

uses the modern one, -he thinks its nice compact and efficent

i agree you don't need to copy a pro to play well

though i do like the structure of this pro's lessons, its easier for me to see where i'm going wrong when watching my swing super slow mo compared to a pro's

i also get a 5 mintue video going over each lesson, key points with the comparison to woods - his favourite, and normally a few others

Socket Rocket pointed out in a previos thread my swing is similar to Zach Johnson's

Whether this is good or not I have no idea

As for the OP, Porridge Harrington gets my vote.

There's that many changes made over a period of time it's like watching a soap opera!
