Brazil
Medal Winner
Hi
In last weekends medal I played my 2nd into our 18th which finished short of the green. The 18th is a tough slopey green and a par is always a bonus, I decided to putt onto the green as they say a bad putt is better than a bad chip. About 6 feet in front of me a winter green cup was still present and the left edge of the hole was interfering with my line. I asked my playing partners if I was entitled to relief but they were both unsure (one thought that as I was putting when I could have in fact chipped that I may not be). I decided to putt and ended up about 15 feet from the pin but luckily managed to sink the par putt. Do any of you guys know the correct ruling here
Thanks
