hello again ,,,what I'm interested in knowing is when a course is first made how do they get the yardage measurement thats on the score card,,,,do they use one of those surveyors wheels & go down the middle of the fairway from tee box to front of green ?????

Not sure if they would use a wheel these days, probably a total station measuring instrument. I use a surveyors wheel to measure carry distances winter & summer.

Alot use the wheel and measure to the middle of the green

And yes, whatever they use to measure it, it's down the middle of the fairway.
