Well known. The Scottish poppy does not have the leaf that the English one does.

Yep it’s well known - the poppies in Scotland are produced by PoppyScotland and the ones in the rest of the UK produced by RBL - it doesn’t mean anything different just a different poppy.

I don't know why the difference, but there was a big debate a couple of years ago regarding the leaf on the English one. The argument was that when worn, the leaf should point to the 11 o'clock position to signify the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of the Armistice.
