Just got back from 8 days in Cyprus to an email from HowdidIdo.com to conform I won the Midweek stableford last Monday and got a healthy cut of 1.6 in the process.
I took a risk and played very last minute before setting off to the airport. Cost me a day off to get ready before I played, HID agreed it was a good plan until the actual night when it got a bit frantic - lol.
Still it was all worth it - I carded a 40 pointer but didn't know if I had won or not as lots of groups were still out when I had to dash and head to the airport. Best hole was a birdie on a par 5 where I had 2 shots for a 5 point haul
- this is now a 1 shot hole for me with my shiney new handicap. 
I didn't just win my category either - I won the whole thing.
Didn't want to get sucked into emails while away so avoided the internet completely (much to my 2 teenagers anxiety being cut off from civilization for a whole 8 days!!)so a very nice welcome home for me!!
Edged ever closer to this years target of 20 with 0.2 to go - I am playing off 20 now but want to actually get there before I count my chickens!
