whats hotel like?

Thanks in advance

Run of the mill, typical De vere course. Not in a bad way though.I enjoy it but the 27 holes are not taxing so nice for a relaxed knock.

Take out a mortgage for drinks.

I've played it, it is a typical De Vere that means very expensive, as it has a hotel attached to the club that means all of the prices for food and tea/coffee are charged at premium hotel rates eg £3.00 for a very small coffee, sandwiches require a mortgage. They cater more for visiting parties than their members with visitors getting the best tee times and members having to give up tee times to allow visitors to play.
The course has 3 loops of nine and you may be given an 18 for these 3. It has a nice mix of easy and challenging holes, not overly long but it pays to be in position and to know the course to get the best chance of scoring well. The greens take some hammer but were not too bad when I played it a couple of months ago.

I played it after a night on the beer so was a bit hazy. Played 10-18 which was quite tight in places, not a bombers place, then 1-9 which was a little more open if I remember correctly. Hotel is really smart although quite expensive as the others have stated. If you get a chance I would also try and play Moortown, it's not to far and was a really nice track. I played it the day before Oulton and was impressed with it.

Wayman, played all 27 earlier this year, not great but enjoyable, unlike most other DeVere hotels this one is in a built up area, so there are a couple of local pubs within 5 mins walk.
