Even the commentary team are taking the mickey out of Tigers amazing knee healing abilities after a few good shots!!! Think they are also reading the forum.

Is Westwood using the i10 irons ? He usually uses the S58's like most Ping pros. This would be quite surprising actually, although it would show how pros place a premium on gaining forgiveness to help them tackle the tougher course setups.

These adverts are really frustrating me, I am sure the coverage is different today- I am sure I have seen an advertisement for the ESPN coverage of the olympics for the first time this week- suggesting that we are watching American coverage, rather than Sky's own cameras. It's more like when we watch the PGA tour on Setanta where they don't have their own camera crew covering the event and constantly return to a studio but we are getting adverts instead. The way the adverts are really short suggests this as well.

As for Tiger producing a copy of Westwood's hook into the lateral hazard I wouldn't have thought that was coming. He didn't wince or hold his knee either! I think Westwood may well have blown it- he really needs to change his momentum quickly he is moving backwards currently.

Westwood has pulled himself together nicely, he just needs one more good hole and he could be in with a big big shout. Mediate seems untouchable, he has a ridiculous amount of confidence and self assurance that is just telling everyone that he will keep plugging away until the end. I am loving the fact that any one of the three (woods, Mediate and Westwood) could still win this. Nice to see another good week from Karlsson as well. Tiger is perched waiting to be toppled his usual stone cold temperature seems to be becoming flustered he knows he is in a battle. Come on Lee!!!!

I can't see either of them getting a birdie from there. My fingers are crossed for Lee though. Even my heart stopped on his putt at 17 and it was nice to see he still had a sense of humor as well...I hate to think how tense he must have been stood over that putt. It looks like a play off or nothing though- neither of them will reach the green.

oooo Tiger fluffed it. I'm not impressed with his double ground strike with his club either, I know it must be unbearable out there due to the pressure but he should be a bigger man than that. Hitting the bunker and then the ground in the rough before throwing his club on his bag is not impressive behavior. We should know after Westwood's approach what the outcome will be.

What a tournament. I am truly gutted for Westwood- I have never felt so strongly in terms of willing on a golfer in a tournament but for the last 5 holes I seemed to feel the ups and downs of Westwood's play. I hate to think what he was going through. I dared to write Tiger off following his hissy fit after his bunker shot but he has proved me wrong and yet again defied all odds to get into a play off. When Westwood missed I was really hoping Tiger would as well so Mediate could win- he seems such a great character, entertaining the fans all the way down the walk up 18. Anyway I will be unable to watch the play off tomorrow unfortunately so that's my live action from the US open for this year, and I am glad to say it has lived up to expectation in terms of enjoyment.

Few, as great as it was I need some sleep.

Sounds like an awesome night of golf. I'll be able to watch the full 18 tomorrow night now. Anyone know when they tee off? our time?
I also confidently predict Tiger to demolish Mediate tomorrow as well.

Tee off 17:00 Sky Sports 3.

What a night, but I am seriously suffering now. I am going to have coffee breath, big black rings under my eyes and feel like crap all day but it was worth it.
