My daughter drove me for the first time on Saturday in the 'yellow peril' I was incredibly nervous as I am not a great passenger, but she was actually very good and confident. Her test is on the 30th so fingers crossed.

Some Test Centres do tests at weekends - especially if they have a long waiting time (9 weeks+)
They do cost more though.

Rich, tell her to eat a Banana before she takes her test. Will help with her concentration (potassium in the banana) on the test. Worked for me! Passed 1st time

Here's another tip - if she finds herself in the wrong lane - don't try and change lanes just go the wrong way. As long as she mirrors/signals they won't mark her. It's not a test of your ability to go the correct way, it's a test of your ability to do it correctly.

She passed first time
. Now my worries really start !! She did get in the wrong lane, but carried on as recommended. Couldn't get her to eat a banana though Jon. Cheers for the tips guys.

Good to hear she passed though. You'll never see her now! Once I passed my test I spent most of my time in town in the pub (drinking coke, natch) playing pool.
