custom fitting

Sorry gents, in a rather flippant moment earlier today I typed

Now when is PJ going to give us his views on Custom Fitting ?

Is this Flopshot revisited ?

at the end of a reply to a post.

I'm afraid this is my fault :( :o

Okay then, Custom Fitting has been done, how about a discussion on the LHC and it's effect on golf ball design for the next decade.

Can anti-matter make a golf ball go further ?

;)

Why do you have this desire to "liven" things up. I think you'll find that things tend to develop a life of their own (try searching Homergate) and can't be forced. If you think the forum is dullsville or not exciting enough you're under no obligation to hang around. I hear TG is a jumping gig

The only thing you'll find if you try and be contentious for the sake of it is that you'll get peoples back up and when you have something serious to say you won't be taken seriously. If in doubt PM Mono about that (btw does anyone know where he's gone too??????)

Yes when i spell "when" as "wen" its because its txt speak faster but still easy to understand for most people.Im glad your not adding me to your ignore list,at the end of the day its a forum, not overly serious.

That's fine, but in this sentence

Thats wat happens wen you put a shite thread on.

Why did you put an 'e' on the end of s***, therefore undoing the one keystroke you saved by typing wen? :D :p

I must say text speak is fine for texting, but when you have a full keyboard does it realy save time? It certainly does my head in trying to read it, and half the time I won't bother.

The idea of punctuation is to make comprehension easier. Commas, full stops etc allow you to pause and their omission can completely change the meaning of anything written. Spelling also improves comprehension.
A 'wen' is a harmless cyst, especially on the scalp or face, containing the fatty secretion (sebum) of a sebaceous gland.
And a 'wat' is a Buddhist temple in Thailand or Cambodia.

Apparently, its cool not to punctuate and spell things properly, according to the young people.
Code for "I cant do it"
Its like shaving, ironing shirts, washing hair etc etc

You learn something new every day!

I must admit that a few of my posts recently have a few letters missing. Apparently it's because I have a Dell Studio 17. It's a known problem, I googled it and found that it's quite common and a 'soft reset' or something can be done. It really is a pain in the backside, even though I'm typing correctly, the characters just don't register on the screen. This means constantly re-reading and editing. ARHHHHHHHH!!

It makes editing the website and replying to emails a little tricky.

It's almost quicker to reply on the iphone!

Now, what was this thread about again??

I agree wholeheartedly.
If people can't be bothered to make the effort to type properly, then I'm not going to read their posts.

Can anyone tell me what this means?

I agree wutg 50 cent, Tiger should have been more gansta and he would have got away with it.

Hapless, I have a Toshiba NB100, and that also misses out key strokes. A quick web search, and yes, they also are notorious for it.

What is so difficult about making a keyboard that works?

Finding a designer who can write? or perhaps eventually they can miss out the keys entirely and save a few pence.
