A fair few near me,thank god they are gone or times would be even tougher for my club than they are now!!

Seems the first house I bought when I left home was actually built on a golf course, not long after it shut

Mad, just found out the village I grew up in had a golf club c.1920... Never knew that and I doubt many that still live there do either.

have driven past here whilst working in the area on numerous occasions, although overgrown you can still see the layout of a couple of holes.

I think its now a private residence

I didnt know there were two in my home town of Coulsdon that are no more. Wish I knew where they were. Assuming they are not under some housing estate I would love to look at the land and see if any holes can be made out.
