tbh I'd say just about every song that Van Morrison ever wrote. Great songs, just can't stand the singer. Actually the same would go for Bob Dylan as well.

There is a difference between 'not liking the singer' and 'not liking the way he/she/they' sing! VM's a moody sod! Went to one concert (in Swindon) where it was obviopus that he didn't want to be there. Yet another (Earl's Court) where we had to leave during a classic VM 'keep rolling' with the band that because we'd miss transport!

I think few covers released as singles are better , although there are some . Most good covers seem to be album tracks in my view . Peter Frampton , jumping jack flash , is another good one , and for a whole album of them try 1000 volts of holt by John Holt , all good songs done in a reggae style
