Courses near the Belfry

Evening folks,

Middle of march 8 of us are going up to the belfry for a couple of days, we are all Kent based so have booked the travel lodge in Tamworth for the night before and plan to go up in the morning the day before and have a round somewhere at about mid day.

It will be 6 of us playing (2 not coming up till the evening), I've just looked at Forest of Arden but they want £120 each :mmm:

Any recommendations for other courses around the area ? dont mind paying up to about £30 each and this will be for a Wednesday.

Id check the Forest Of Arden page again mate. I played it last week and it cost me £30 (£10 voucher for the shop with that aswell). Looked to booked again and its gone up to £45 as of march. Well worth it tho, in great nick.

Little Aston is a great course, may be slightly out of budget, though.

Forset of Arden have offers on at the moment it goes up in price if you play in April like I am doing. So well worth checking that out. Somebody has beat me to it with Little Aston, what a course that is and a fantastic clubhouse. Wishaw GC is decent as well

I live 5 minutes from the Belfry mate

I recommend Lea Marston - lovely pay and play. Short but great quality for cost.

Boldmere - another pay and play abit longer mainly par 4s

Wishaw - Very nice and challenging.

All of these are within 5-10 minutes of the belfry with lea marston being about 1.5 mile

Be happy to take you round my place, cleobury mortimer.. About 40-50 mins from the belfry but great course in exceptional nick... Think its around 20- 30 for a visitor, if you fancy some company 15 with me... Open offer to anyone local.

Have a look at Whittington Heath, great heathland course that is only 5 miles away from Tamworth.

The HS2 is due to be built through the middle of the course so play it before it's to late.
