Connecting PC to HiFi

Hi, my pc speakers are quite frankly useless, so I want to connect my pc to my hifi to actually get some decent sound out of it. Is there a lead I can get with the hifi connectors attached or do I need a special stereo soundcard as well? Thanks

3.5mm jack lead to phono. assuming your hifi has these inputs for aux. you may need a 3.5mm jack to 3.5mm jack if you hifi has this as an input... look on the back or tell me the model of hifi you have...

easy peasy then, off you pop to tesco. pretty sure i have seen them in store (larger stores)

Then turn your amp up to maximum and you might be just about te hear it
Which is the case with mine
Which should not be used as any sensible indication of normal experience however

But seriously don't spend much money until you know it works

Not sure of the tech stuff, but it's easy. 6.3mm jack to a two jack thing that goes into your Hi-fi at the back, switch to aux, turn up volume. Done.

6.3mm jack?! not seen one of those since about 1987! and never on a computer!! 3.5mm is what you want
