Tried to keep more connected today and hit some very nice iron shots

It didnt seem to work so well with the driver, not sure why, needs more work

Defo helps to keep top of arms snug and connected !

not really just kept tops of arms snug to chest and iron accuracy and strike was very good

Driver not as sweet but that can be fixed !

I think my swing had become too armsy and bending the left arm

It does seem to indicate that a connected swing although a little restrictive on the back swing the results are very good

So my current swing is connected and 3/4 approx and gives me something to work with

putting your last post into the equation, it rather sounds as if you might be using your arms/wrists to provide you with what you perceive as an appropriate swing length with the driver, relative to the irons.

put another way, i bet video evidence would show that you are going further back with the driver, but that the swings 'breaking down' to get there.

connected can obviously mean different things to different people as well - to me it's not inherently compact or snug but more about 'body, shoulders, arms, wrists, hands...' working together

You sound like me. :)

I'm hitting it great a.t.m.

Maybe your hands are just too close to your body with the big stick. I worked this out last week sometime. Can't explain further.
