Evening all,

I posted about a week ago saying how my confidence had been shot to pieces, but i'd had a couple of lessons and was feeling alot more confident about things, well, i played my local course(Par 67) on Saturday, when i last played about 6 weeks ago, before the lessons, i shot 104, on Saturday i managed 94,which should have been 93, missed a 2 footer on the 18th, my partner gave it to me but i insisted on putting out, as it was the last hole. My best ever round there was a 93 at the end of last year, so i was chuffed with a 94, and in alot of ways i played alot better than when i shot 93 last year. Got 2 more lessons booked so looking to break 90 in the near future. :)

Glad it is starting to come. I'm still struggling with too many shots being wasted and a short game that is only just recovering. I can't put a score together to reflect the ball striking but its about remaining confident. Like you it is in there an we both know it'll come out big time soon (hopefully)

From your description (par67) i'd guess Cranham is your local , a lovely course, good for learning , always in top condition , i play there regular myself . But any course no matter how tame it looks can bite your ar4e, i found that on Friday shot the lights out on the front nine , 2 over gross , ended up with a 79 . Pleased with the score relative to recent form , but with a better mind on course management there was several shots on the back nine i would not have taken on . But there's always next time  Good luck

Yes, it is Cranham, as you say its a great course for high handicappers and its always in excellant condition, if you ever fancy a game up there just send me a pm, i'm thinking of trying to get a twilight round in next Monday if you're interested.
