Good morning all here's one for you all if playing in club comp and all the tee times are full what can be done to ensure all members get a game if no more tee time available on that day ,can you play following day?
Thank You

not at my club, but we usually have a stableford on a sunday so if you can't play sat, then sunday is an option.

i suppose its a case of first come first served. like a lot of things in life

Not a common problem nowadays, but, I can remember the days when the start sheets for certain comps would have a question waiting for them to be pinned on the board on a Thursday night when they went up. By the weekend the start sheet was often full. The start sheet being for a comp a fortnight later.

Very rarely see a full start sheet nowadays and that is even with less start times for the comp.

If a full sheet is an issue, an 'alternative medal' on a weekday could be an answer, give the retired guys a chance to play on a weekday rather than the Sat.

I like many, probably played too many comps. Learnt my lesson now, not going to do it agin until if proved I can do it in practice more than once first.

We can play on the Friday and be involved in the Saturday comp. As long as you post and enter on the clubs computer.
You must have another member to mark your card and play the same format as the Sat comp I.E. max 3 balls if that's specified.
Green staff have to keep the course the same length

We had 60 entrants on Friday.
Exceptions are the club championship and invitational s.

Not much you can do, if you have a membership of 600 and only 300 medal tee times are available then so be it. I believe it to be unfair to have the same 18 hole comp over 2 days. If your club has such a high demand over the weekend for medals than why not suggest that 2 separate comps over the weekend are set and have it that members can only play in 1?

At our club we have a round a third of our membership looking for a Saturday medal time. I believe this number to be similar at clubs who have comps on every Saturday

We do it routinely, near enough every non board comp you can play either day. Times are drawn for both and there is one results sheet in terms of money, 2s etc but separate CSS calculations. You can also play outside of the drawn times.

This is a club dependent thing and you would have to ask your comps sec.

No all one comp at our place.

Then your comp committee need to check the regulations and ensure the competition is administered in compliance with congu regulations - right now they aren't

Possibly but pretty sure it's one css. We close at 2pm on Sundays which is possibly why/how we do it that way. I assume it's been that way forever.
