Club lie adjustment near Chobham

You can go to a Direct Golf shop (i think nearest in Farnborough), and they will do a lie and loft test for free. This month's GM and Golf World have coupons just in case.

Chaps. Any help welcome. I need to reset to std the 1 degree upright on my AP's
Any ideas who can do this?

As said before, any decent pro shop. I wouldn't go to DG myself.

But a change of 1 degree? Is that really worth doing, and can it really be done to that level of precision? If you were changing 3 or 4 degrees, OK, but frankly I don't think it is worth doing.

Also I bet your clubs are not precisely what you think they are right now, and after 1 degree of wrenching, I suspect they still won't be exactly where you would want them to be.

Ethan, any reason to avoid DG?

Last year went along with a friend who got new clubs. Also got mine tested. They recommended 1 degree change, but I passed on it. Not sure if it would have made any major change in my game.. (or so I think)

Always worth getting forged clubs checked occasionally. 1 degree isn't going to make a huge difference, but having them all the ssame - and knowing they are 'right for you' almost certainly will!

I tend to see DG and AG as retailers, and not the first stop for club repairs or adjustments.

all the pro shops I spoke to recently just send them off to specialist club builders........

and most of those want the money up front and a signature at 3 degrees adjustment - 4 is almost guaranteeing a failure for most clubs.

the pro told be I needed to flatten them 2 degree, the specialist said that I didn't need to adjust them at all; they were all spot on in the strike plate despite a static indication of being too upright.

Go with the strike plate results! That;s the one that matters - unless you markedly change your swing.

That 4* almost guaranteeing failure really only applies to cast clubs. Forged clubs tend to be better/safer to manipulate (that's also why they need checking occasionally) though moving more than a couple of degrees at a time is still risky.

'Tis a shame there are not more 'all round/working' Pros. There's something 'proper' about a workshop, though the capital and space cost is certainly significant.
