Club cleaning

When I first had my MP32 irons there was a little surface rust.

Quick blast with AC90 and a nylon brush got it straight off.

As an aside. Do you use headcovers on your irons?

Yeah use neoprene headcovers, I think my clubs were a little bit damp and having left them in the boot for a week started a few little rust spots, will try getting some AC90. Thanks

Between round I use warm soapy water, never submerge the hosels above the the bottom of the ferrule. leave them to soak for about 5 mins, then a quick scrub with a stiff nail brush or similar, dry them down thoroughly or give them a wipe over with a cloth damped with AC-90, WD-40 or similar. Clean your grip with warm soapy water and a nail brush and just let them dry naturally to keep them tacky. (Your grips are just as important as the heads)

You can always got he extra mile every few months. And give them a buff with some mops on a bench grinder, to get to this

I've always been of the opinion that head covers encourage rust on irons (..... If damp) and not removed between rounds.

Probably the main reason I don't use them

+1, I use a few of them to stop rattling when I carry, but never store them with the covers on. I would never use them if I used a trolley. I only use 5 covers on my irons, was 7 but lost a few.

Also if you give your clubs a good wipe after every shot, you wont really need to scrub them between rounds
