Had the best gross in round 1 so more of the same should send a signal! Agree though.... No tie will be a formality in the match play!

Weve just finnished ours 1st round was last weekend and 2nd yesterday 2 rounds of 80 the first leaving me 2nd overall. Qualified easily, poor score again 2nd round 4 doubles on the back 9 all down wind. all of which contained as Sherman. Just as well or i would have been in th scratch section with all the guys of scratch and below the qaul for that.
I'm sure you will do fine, do you have two sections as well ?

We have silver and bronze championships but both are played off scratch. Bronze is, I think, those over 20 handicap.
Best 8 in each qualify for the match play. I'm currently the lowest handicap so should be challenging for it!

Well nobody predicted my meltdown today!
Played terribly and was happy in the end to grind out an 81 thanks mainly to a solid short game. Four disaster holes.... 4, 5, 6 & 7.... Double, double, double, triple. Fair to say i wisnae happy at that stage!
Only hit 4 fairways today so never going to score well.
Anyway, qualified comfortably enough in second place. If any forumers remember how I used to swing a driver please drop me a line!

You did enough on day one to give you the cushion so well done.
Things couldn't be that much better anyway, if it's a seeded KO then as 2nd seed you'll still have a good draw.
