...and my swing appears to have gone AWOL!

Played last weekend and had two decent rounds, played Monday too (off work this week) and went round in a very very good (for me) 85 and since then, I haven't been able to hit a ball without either slicing or pulling it. Hoping that it all clicks again today at the range, or it will be an emotional couple of days this weekend!

On the plus side, the weather is nice and the greens are really good at the moment, albeit very quick.

Anyone else got their club champs this weekend?

Had mine, did terribly.

don't worry about your swing, I'm sure it will make an appearance. Just swing within yourself and shoot low. Easy!

Get yerself over to my gaff some time as well, it's been too long mate!

Best of luck this weekend, keep us posted.

I thought my swing was going as I barely scored in the thursday team league a few days before. Somehow shot 84,85 and came second nett.

Just go out, play a good medal round, dont take "stableford" risks and put in a good score, no need to par everything. Use your shot where you need it on the hole you are playing and it will all be fine.

Good luck fourputt. I've got the County Handicap champs tomorrow and i'm the lowest entered and i'm first off the first tee

Next week is our club champs , 36 holes on Sunday and in strict h/c order. Should be in 2nd or 3rd group.

Ours are in two weeks. Cut after day one and the top 32 and ties go through to Sunday. Whisper it quietly but I'm hitting it not bad at the moment so who knows, might get to play and not have Sunday off like I have for the last few years

Had a bit of a practice today and did 9 holes. Didn't keep score, just went out and swung easy. Seemed to be hitting it better, but for some reason my approach shots are everywhere but where I'm aiming. It's probably no worse than usual, but for some reason I am becoming less forgiving of myself when I pull/push it with my irons.

Hopefully tomorrow will be okay, I'll report back tomorrow evening.

Ahem... Nothing to see here... :o

Did okay yesterday, carded 94 which was not bad considering the CSS was about 75 or so, so well within buffer zone. Managed to hold it together pretty well, despite a 9 on the 9th. Knee high rough and greens that were running at just short of 12 on the stimp as measured on the morning of the comp. As such, I was really struggling to hold the greens even with lofted clubs. Chips were running forever and it really told on the scores that came in. I wish they wouldn't "trick up" the course for the champs...

Anyway, I was pretty happy with yesterday, so today's 106 was a bit of a kick in the nuts.... :o
