Is it worth looking into changing settings on the router?

Also is what are the advantages of ipv6 over 4 ?

What sort of errors. There are some decent enough free dns services, but that may not be your problem.

Nope, I have no idea how to even do this .

I'm not a fan of trying to trouble shoot stuff via a forum 😉
Although trying cloudflare or Google etc won't do you any harm.
Fyi Google is 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Cisco umbrella are free too. Formerly open dns.

I used to be quite good at IT stuff , mainly because our IT support at work was outsourced to India
