Another sombrero by any chance?

Glad you all had a good day, I spent half the afternoon traipsing round Cheshire oaks with my tart and kids :(

Thanks for the game Fellas, I thought I was a good driving course today although that wind took some negotiating, it wasnt quite as cold as i was expecting.
I was lead to believe that it was quite a tough track but I reckon with less wind and firmer fairways a good score could be had round there. I thought all in all it came across as a nice friendly club and I'd certainly play it again.

Me and my partner did ok, but took the wooden spoon with 33pts. Thanks again fellas, Pleasure as always

Had a top day! Thanks to Pete for driving and to him and Birchy for great company. I think our kid did most of the scoring for us, I may have come in on a couple of holes...
The course was in good nick, especially given the weather. I would like to play it agin in the Summer, like qwerty said, with little wind, you old score well....
Bring on the oom!!!

I would play it again too preferrably with less wind! I reckon the turns on them greens could be very interesting in the summer though :D

Anybody know what happens for the guys who couldnt/didnt make it? Is there chance of a refund or not? Only 3rd or 4th open ive played so not too sure how it usually works for stuff like that etc.

Cheers Dave. Pleasure as always and good to meet Gaz aswell. I actually could not believe my eyes when I saw there was not one bit of snow on the course. Driving there I saw mounds of snow on the sides of roads and fields covered. It really only got very cold and very windy during the last 4 holes....other than that, it was fine, bizarre really !!!!

I enjoyed the course, I imagine that it would be a lot tougher of the back pegs, especially if the wind gets up. I agree with you, you would have to drive it well to get round with a good score.

No sombrero Stu :) 6 prov's for the two. A solid 135yd 6i into the teeth of of the wind.....and it only just snuck on the front. Shame we were just a few points from the prizes !

Well done guys. I'll be toasting your fine form with a bottle of Bushmills in front of a glorious log fire here in Ballyvaghan. Strangely enough, the weather has been fantastic here since I got here. Barely a ripple on the bay and still above zero..... Going into Galway tomorrow looking for another flat cap for the tour. A nice traditional number to keep my baldy head warm...

Cheers boys, it all started with Qwerty calling me and me literally jumping out of bed in anticipation.

Called Gary and Stu a few times, but no joy. Scouser, I wrote down the address you said, didn't notice it was different after you texted it. Sorry Stu, tried Podgster, but he already had plans. Fish - get your a££e up to the north west!

Enjoyed the course, but surprised it is an open qualifier. Made up to get a round in, me and Birchy came in well for each other and had a solid BB of 21 points on the front 9.

Birchy then kept ballsing up to leave me to fight the good fight on my own..........only joking, lar.

Finished with 36 points, just a few single pointers cost us on the back 9, where we both had bad holes together.

Well done Junior (acceptance speeches a given) on the 2, Karl - too generous with the petrol money - I owe you a pint.

Birchy, we'll be in with a shout next time. Qwerty, get looking for a future meet!
