Cleveland Hi-bore irons?

My other half is looking for a new set of irons and very much likes the Cleveland Hi-Bore clubs with their sort of hybrid-iron idea. Before she goes ahead and buys them does anyone else have any thoughts on them? are there any other hybrid iron sets out there that she should also look at?

Cobra do a progressive set but they aren't cheap in my eyes.

Thanks for those responses. I'll pass them on and well look into it further.

It looks as though not all manfacturers have the custom fitting 'studio' experience available to us this side of the pond. After all of the (sometimes heated) discussion about it on the forum I would probably encourage her to go for it if it were possible.

Are there any sort of multi-brand versions of Gainsborough out there where we might go to try all or at least some of them.


...and blimey, The Callaways are very expensive aren't they?
